  1. I recommend Yoast WordPress SEO. It does everything and tells you how to get your site verified by the major search engines. You will probably have to go to the Yoast site to understand some of the things but the explanations are pretty clear. I avoid anything that says “PHP” because that is the programming language WordPress is based on and I don’t know it. Whenever I try to just “paste this in” my site goes down. Not recommended. Just skip that part unless you know PHP.

  2. On getting started with WordPress, I recommend WordPress for Dummies. WordPress has been updated since this came out but the basic principles are the same. It will help you get an over view of how it works. Set up your own blog on WordPress.com. It will walk you through the steps and has clear instructions. Then just figure it out. Eventually you will want your own domain name and ISP account so you can do more things, or maybe not. You can do what most people want to do on WordPress.com.

    Good luck!

  3. Hey! Do you know if they make any plugins to help
with Search Engine Optimization? I’m trying to get my blog to
rank for some targeted keywords but I’m not seeing very good success.
If you know of any please share. Appreciate it!
